Tuition and required fees are assessed for all enrolled students in traditional and online courses each semester. The University’s tuition rates and required fees are approved by the Mississippi Institution of Higher Learning. The basic cost to attend Jackson State University depends on factors such as student classification, number of hours attempted during the semester, residency status, housing and meal preferences.
Each student will be billed for 100% of the tuition and fees due. Fees are due and payable at the time of registration. All fees are payable in advance by cash, credit card, personalized checks, certified check, or money order. Non-personalized starter checks will not be accepted for payment of fees. Bank checks returned due to insufficient funds must be redeemed immediately along with the payment of forty dollar ($40.00) insufficient funds fee to avoid termination of registration.
As you review the tuition and fees chart below, keep in mind that the fees presented are estimates for the average cost to attend for a full-time student and are subject to change upon approval of the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning. Every effort will be made to give as much advance notice as possible.
