APA Accreditation History:
Jackson State University was approved by the Board of Trustees of the Institutions of Higher Learning of the State of Mississippi on to begin its Ph.D. program in clinical psychology in 1995. Its inaugural doctoral candidates. The American Psychological Association (APA) awarded our clinical program accreditation in 2001. The program was first reaccredited in 2005. Since then, the program has been reaccredited in 2010 and 2016. The program received full reaccreditation in 2024 and is accreditation until 2033 when a site visit is due.
