APA Accreditation History:

Jackson State University was approved by the Board of Trustees of the Insitutions of Higher Learning of the State of Missisippion to begin its Ph.D. program in clinical psychology in 1995. Its inaugural doctoral candidates. The American Psycholoical Association (APA) awarded our clinical program accreditation in 2001. The program was first reaccreditated in 2005. Since then, the program has been reaccredited in 2010 and 2016. The program will undergo the reaccreditation process with APA's Commission Accreditation in 2021.
