Environmental Health and Safety


It is the responsibility of all University personnel and students to report unsatisfactory conditions.

The Department of Facilities & Construction Management has on staff a Safety Environmental Manager in charge of implementing and enforcing compliance applicable environmental, health and safety regulations.

This includes disposal of hazardous waste, adherence to construction and maintenance safety guide (OSHA, EPA, etc…), asbestos abatement, pest control and fire and life safety. The Environmental Manager may be contacted at extension 2522.

We, The Jackson State University family, will not accept anything less than the safety of its students, faculty, staff and guests.
